


AT ITS OCTOBER 20, 2011 MEETING, THE COMMISSION ALLOCATED ALL FUNDING FOR MINI-GRANTS. THIRTEEN GRANTS WERE FUNDED THIS FISCAL YEAR, WITH AMOUNTS RANGING FROM $2,500 TO $5,000.
NO MORE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THE CURRENT FISCAL YEAR.
PLEASE CHECK BACK IN JUNE FOR APPLICATIONS BEGINNING JULY 1, 2012.
The Mini-Grant Program is a method of allocating grants up to $2,500 or $5,000 for purposes that further the goals and objectives of the strategic plan. Proposals are accepted on an ongoing basis. For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012, there is $50,000 available for Mini-Grants of up to $5,000 each ($2,500 for improvements to childcare).
Programs benefitting children prenatal through age five and their families in Placer County can apply for Mini-Grants, including: individuals, groups, government agencies, religious organizations, non-profits and for-profit organizations.
